The foundation is a non-profit organisation with no commercial or self-help interests. Its goal is to support charitable, educational, cultural, and sports-related initiatives.

The focus lies on:

• supporting education and training, as well as integration into the job market—especially for people working in or aiming to work in the gastronomy or hospitality sector
• promoting educational projects and charitable organisations that guide people along their educational or professional journey
• providing financial assistance to non-profit institutions or individuals facing difficult life situations—particularly those connected to the gastronomy or hospitality industry or those affected by health-related challenges

The foundation focuses primarily on projects within Switzerland but may also support initiatives abroad. A particular concern is to provide support to employees of FWG.
